Meals are ordered in advance so late registrants cannot be guaranteed a meal.  
Please select preference for regular or vegetarian meal during the registration process. 

This is an indoor, in person event.

Natalie Pinkney
Salt Lake County Council
At-Large 

Natalie Pinkney is a dedicated champion for families, opportunity, and innovative governance in Salt Lake County. With a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Marquette University and a Master's in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah, Natalie has built a career rooted in service, resilience, and transformative leadership.

As the first Black woman and the first Black person elected county-wide to the Salt Lake County Council, Natalie's historic election underscores her commitment to impactful governance that uplifts every community. Her priorities center on families—focusing on housing, homelessness, childcare, and financial empowerment—ensuring everyone has access to the opportunities and support that shaped her journey.

Darlene McDonald

Novelist. Essayist. Writer of Political and Civil Rights History.

Darlene is a technology professional, author, social and keyboard activist. She has a B.S degree in Business Information Technology Management from Western Governors University. Darlene also maintains and runs The Black Library, an online repository dedicated to literature written by African American and Black writers.

In 2020, she was elected to serve as the Democratic National Committeewoman for Utah.  And, in 2022, she ran ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Utah's 4th Congressional District.

In 2025, Darlene received the Salt Lake County Democratic Believer Award and the Utah Democratic Party Todd Taylor Award.

Robin Holcomb
Interim Executive Director,
NAMI Utah

 
After a decade with NAMI Utah as the programs director, overseeing NAMI classes, support groups and presentations, Robin stepped into the role of interim executive director in October of 2024. With a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania she has have worked in a variety of capacities, including as a psychotherapist and social worker for teens in the foster care system. For seven years she was the executive director of a grassroots nonprofit in the San Francisco Bay area that prepares economically disadvantaged preschoolers for success in school.
 
The mission of NAMI Utah is close to her heart because she several family members with mental health conditions, including a brother she lost to a substance use disorder and a nephew lost to an opioid overdose. She prioritizes her own mental health, working with a therapist and
making self-care a fundamental part of her life. Away from work, she enjoys cooking, hiking, camping, yoga, and candlelight.
