Carly Ferro, Director Utah Sierra Club, oversees the Chapter's operations and programs while acting as the state lobbyist for the Chapter. She is also responsible for liaising with National programs and working alongside the Executive Committee to develop strategies for the organization's long-term health. Carly joined Utah Sierra Club in 2017. Carly holds a B.S. in Biology and participated and an M.S. in Environmental Management.
Carly grew up in Ocean County, NJ, a gateway to the Pine Barrens (Pinelands). Currently, Carly lives in Salt Lake City with her husband, daughter, and husky, Ghost, where they enjoy the greatest snow on Earth, Utah's hiking mountainous terrain, and playing soccer.
Tom Moyer is the Utah State Coordinator for Citizens' Climate lobby, a non-partisan group working with both political parties to create the political will for a livable world. CCL was instrumental in forming the bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus in Congress, and worked with the Utah legislature to pass the 2018 “Environmental and Economic Stewardship Resolution." Tom is a mechanical engineer working for HDT Robotics on explosive ordnance disposal robots. He and his wife Lauren Barros live in the net-zero house they built in Park City.
Register by noon March 30 if lunch is desired. Table 22 will provide Regular (Turkey, Bacon, Avocado) and Vegetarian (Portobello Mushroom) sandwiches, chips, and cookies. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be provided. Select 'Regular' or "Vegetarian' during the registration process. Those registering after March 30 are welcome to attend and can pay with cash, check or credit card at the door. However, lunch may not be available since they’re pre-ordered based on advanced registrations.
