We invite representatives from the media to attend and report
on our events to spread awareness and encourage public
participation in current affairs.
Be advised that media representatives may be in the audience.
We will find out about the amount of State-owned, National Forest and BLM land in the state, and where; who manages those lands and how that’s going; explain how land management plans are developed; provide a historical look at funding levels and how funding affects management/conditions; and the complexity of managing public lands for multiple uses.

Redge Johnson
Director of Utah Public Lands and Policy Coordinating Office (PLPCO)
With over 35 years of experience in natural resource management, land use planning, and public policy, Redge Johnson has led the development of all 29 Utah County Resource Management Plans and the Utah State Resource Management Plan. Johnson’s career includes roles with the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food, The Nature Conservancy, and extensive work coordinating local, state, and federal land policies. A Utah State University graduate, he brings a lifelong background in ranching and land stewardship to his leadership in balancing resource use, access, and conservation across Utah’s public lands.
Steve Bloch
Legal Director for the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance (SUWA)
Steve Bloch he has worked for over 25 years protecting Utah’s Redrock wilderness. An expert in public lands and environmental law, Steve leads SUWA’s litigation and policy work on issues ranging from national monument protection to responsible land management. A graduate of the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law, he has been recognized by the Utah State Bar for his leadership in environmental advocacy.
