November 2019 Luncheon – Addressing the Gun Violence Epidemic

Saturday, November 9th
11AM – 1:30PM
Sheraton Hotel – Salt Lake City

Representative Joel Briscoe, Mary Ann Thompson with Moms Demand Action, and the Violence Prevention Center of Utah will join us and discuss several pieces of legislation on gun safety in the 2020 legislature.

Briscoe served as chairman of the East Central Community Council in Salt Lake City from 2008-09 and helped found the Douglas Neighborhood Association, in these capacities he promoted equitable solutions for local issues. Since entering the legislature, Briscoe has been elected to the Democratic House leadership three times, including election to his current position as the House minority whip. Briscoe strives for policies that create a safer Utah in which all Utahns feel valued. He is fighting for a better future for our children – with the goal of making the Beehive State an even great place to live, work and raise a family. (edited)
